Follow Up
In recent days it has become more apparent that Quinn wants to be just like her friends. Apparently the yogurt was just the tip of the iceberg.
For example, we have been trying to take her shopping for new shoes over the last couple of weeks and each time we have failed. During recent shopping trips she has thrown a temper tantrum and run out of a store in the mall. Finally we went to a store where she seemed pleased with the selections. She picked a pair of white and pink Nike's with laces and a pair of black Mary Jane shoes. The next week at her daycare, I saw that two of her friends have almost the exact same shoes.
She's been known to call things that her friends have by their names. She calls her new black shoes "Ava's" since Ava has a similar pair. She also calls fruit snacks "Anja's" since Anja gave her some for Valentine's day.
I never imagined conformity would start at such a young age!
